This programme includes a rationalisation of parts of the product offering, while drawing on the resources and expertise of the Air Liquide Welding group.

The consequences of these changes relate to three main areas:

• Expansion of the range of applications of the product range.
• Elimination of unnecessary product range complexity through rationalization
• New administration procedures in terms of product reference numbers

A system of product reference numbers, W codes, has been introduced for all international products, which replaces the current systems of national product codes. The first part of this programme includes cored wires for manual welding and solid wires (spools), fume extraction and accessories. The introduction of international product reference codes will be completed later this year for remaining products and further details will be made available at this time.
